Sorry for a late update, the 1st was busy for me, and the 2nd was the day I started a new job. It's helping out a woman with her house as it gets renovated. It's a pretty old and big house that appears to have been for a rich family and was moved from southern Maine during the time when the Loyalists were moving into the Maritime Region after the American war. It still has the chimney and old floors - those are getting removed, however.
What kept me occupied for the last week is that I've been volunteering my time as an Illustrator for Project Canada, a series inspired by Hetalia that features personified places. For Project Canada, it revolves around the personified provinces and territories, who are featured in videos to talk about Canadian news, cultures, and history. Here's a link to a video I helped work on. Can anyone tell which part that is? ~Project Canada 2016 Announcements~ In other news, we're trying make The Face into an ebook. Unfortunately, my partner has been through some Formatting Hell with the program Bookwright when working on it, and has wanted to take a break from that. If we can't make an ebook, I might upload the rest on here, sans the Epilogue.

Might touch this up further, but for now, it's finished. The family's official colours at the start of The Face.
The father, Armin Andrews, is biracial, with Euro-Canadian and Arabic (Egyptian) heritage. The Mother, Eileen Andrews, is Afro-Canadian as far as she knows from her family tree. Her hair is naturally red! Alex takes off more of the father's' side; looks more like him in the winter in regards to hair and skin tone. Due to some school work and poor time working shenanigans, there will be no Face related updates today.
To make up for it, I shall write a joke: In a quiet bar squished between two sleek, tall buildings, a lone man in a blue coat is sitting on a stool, staring down at his drink. A big biker man with a black leather jacket stomps through the front door and up to the stools. Seeing the puny man in the blue coat sitting there like a statue, the man in the leather jacket reaches over and swipes his drink. The man in the blue coat looks up at him, surprised, as the man with the leather jacket easily downs half the drink. "You gotta problem?" He smirks and sits down beside the man in the blue coat, who is still shorter than himself. "No, I shouldn't be surprised, it's just that... this has been a terrible day. First, my alarm didn't sound off, so I slept in. While I could've made it to work on time, a car bumped my own enough for both to have a dent. When the driver was finished yelling at me and threatening to sue me, I was long-late for work. When I got there, my boss took one look at me and told me to clean out my desk because I was fired. I got home to tell my wife the bad news, only to discover that she was cheating on me with the our neighbour. So I came to this bar and was contemplating whether or not I should drink the poison I put in my glass when you came along and drank it..." A sketch of the Andrews family from The Face.
I planned on showing the finished piece, but I couldn't get it done, due to term projects. I wanted to draw this out in the same style as I did with the illustrations in The Face, with the official colours. Line art can be a pain! The feet and hands will have to be improved, but I can only find so many specific references. An advertizing poster my partner made to hang up around their area. Lightening it might show other things...
